WELCOME TO THE COMICS RESEARCH HUB AT UAL.

Based at London College of Communication, UAL, and funded by LCC Design School and Research Office, the Comics Research Hub (CoRH) brings together world-leading academics from across the six colleges that make up UAL, and highlights the resources the university holds in its archives, as well as providing a context for the wealth of ongoing comics research at UAL.

CoRH consolidates UAL’s leading position in UK comics research, with an impressive list of outputs from noted scholars including Prof. Roger Sabin (Adult Comics: An Introduction), Richard Reynolds (Superheroes: A Modern Mythology), Dr Ian Hague (Comics and the Senses), Dr Nina Mickwitz (Documentary Comics) and Dr Ian Horton (Applied Comics Network) among others. Many ongoing projects are also underway.

Click the links at the top of the page to read profiles of the hub’s members, associate members and research projects, as well as the university’s resources and the connections UAL has to other organisations. You can also find out more about studying comics at UAL, or get the latest news from the hub.
